ヤン・ヴァンデルロースト氏からのメッセージ　

TANCZI, a suite of Russian dances, written by a Belgian composer, commissioned by a Japanese band, published with a Dutch publisher, soon to be played all over the world ... All this illustrates the universal meaning and character of our common language: music! Today, this brand new suite will be performed for the very first time: that's always an exciting and special event! Unfortunately, I can't be present myself (due to another commitment in France this same weekend) but in my mind I'll be here with you! You may know about my particular connection with your country (between February and September 2006, I'll visit Japan 4 times, which all together means that I'll stay here almost 6 weeks during that period!). Well, I'm confident that my notes are in good hands today, knowing the reputation and the devotion of your conductor, Tohru Takahashi. Tohru and I worked together several times in the past so I trust his approach and his skills. And having in mind the fine mentality which characterizes Japanese amateur musicians, I'm sure everyone today will do his/her very best in order to give the best "world première" they can!

All the best to everybody who's present here today. Let my musical message reach you, let it bring joy and let it touch your heart and your sense of beauty.

『タンツィ』、この「ロシア」舞曲の組曲は、「日本」の吹奏楽団に委嘱され、「ベルギー」の作曲家によって書かれ、「オランダ」の出版社によって出版され、すぐに世界中で演奏されるようになる．．．このすべてが、私たちの共通語「音楽（楽譜）」の意味と文字が普遍であることを例証します！ 　まさに今日、この真新しい組曲は初めて演奏されます。初演はいつもエキサイティングで特別なできごとです！ 　残念ながら私はここに出席できませんが（この週末、別の依頼でフランスにいます）、心の中では皆さんと共にここにいるでしょう！　皆さんはあなた方の国と私との特別な縁をご存じかもしれません。（2006年の２月から９月の間に私は日本を４回訪れ、その期間に合計およそ６週間滞在します！） 　さて、私は皆さんの指揮者、高橋徹の評判と情熱を知っており、今日は私の音符が確かな人に委ねられることを確信しています。 　トオルと私は過去に何度か一緒に仕事をして、私は彼の姿勢と彼の手腕を信頼しています。そして彼は日本のアマチュア音楽家たちを特徴づけるすばらしい考え方を心に持っていて、彼らにできる最高の「世界初演」を行うために今日誰もが彼（彼女）のベストを尽くすであろうことを確信しています！ 　今日ここにいる皆さんによろしくお伝えください。そして私の音楽のメッセージを届かせ、喜びをもたらし、それを皆さんのハートと皆さんの美意識に触れさせてください。 ヤン・ヴァンデルロースト　(日本語訳：高橋徹)
